If you are fond of the typical Tuscan cuisine and the Tuscan wine, you can go through the famous “Strade del vino” (wine’s roads) and visit the well-known cellars, such as Antinori and Ornellaia, between Bolgheri and Castagneto Carducci.
Moreover, our Hotel has got an American Bar, a Meeting House, and a Fitness Centre with Turkish bath, Jacuzzi, gym, garage and parking.

Besides, we are glad to inform you that we opened an Apartment Hotel, “Casa Vacanze Solmar”, in the Isle of Capraia 2 years ago, which has got a panoramic location facing the port. Our 10 apartments have got a Mediterranean style, sober and refined, in tune with the natural habitat. Possibility for our guests to combine the stay in the Isle with a night at the Hotel Gran Duca and to leave the car in our Hotel’s parking.

Restaurant

“Gran Duca” restaurant, realized in the fascinating “Mediceo” Bastion that dates from the seventeenth century, offers a home cooking with sea dishes based on local fresh fish. Here you can appreciate the fresh and seasonal products of the Tuscan cuisine. Besides tasting our national cuisine, you can enjoy our international cooking.

Though Gran Duca restaurant is located in the historical centre of Livorno, it can easily be reached, and it is only few hundreds of meters from the embarkation to the isles. The restaurant has got indoor rooms, which are sober, refined, and comfortable; provided with air-conditioning and a purification plant.

The beautiful outdoor veranda, in front of the most famous monument in Livorno, called “Ai Quattro Mori”, is perfect for ceremonies, buffets, aperitifs and coffee breaks. In summer you can enjoy your dinner in the open-air garden in the monumental square.

Meeting Center

Gran Duca Hotels has got two meeting rooms:
The American Bar room that can house 50 people at most. The chairs are placed as in a cinema with a desk for the speaker;
The Tavern room that can house 25 people at most. It is divided in two rooms which are next to the first room (that can house 12 people) and to the adjacent room (for 25 people at most). The chairs are placed as in a cinema with a writing desk for the speaker. The two rooms are provided with:

The Hotel Gran Duca is equipped with the Fitness Center, open to customers from 4 to 8 pm.
For a small fee, guests can use the gym. On request, guests can book a relaxing massage.
At your disposal changing rooms, showers and everything you need to spend a few hours in total relaxation.
